Gaussian elimination is the standard algorithm for solving systems of linear equations, and this post goes after the intuition behind it. The author revisits it on a simple 2D example in matrix form, with the operations you’re allowed to use, and then draws how transformations parallel to the coordinate axes lead you to the solution.
